Hardware based Automatic Fire Extinguisher Robot
نویسنده
چکیده
A Robot suitable for automatically extinguishing the fire during fire accidents is presented in this paper. The Robot moves in the direction with respect to the fire intensity and avoids self-destruction using calcium silicate boards shielded with, that are capable of withstanding very high temperatures. The principle used, was designed and experimented at a temperature of 300°C. The temperature sensing capability of the robot is varied by heating the Thermocouple ends to a cut-off temperature, above which the robot starts responding to the fire. The Robot finds its applications in Rescue operations during fire accidents, in closed loops such as hospitals and shopping malls, where the possibility for service men to enter the fire prone areas is very less and also during wars to perform rescue functions. The most added advantage of this Robot is that it turns ON automatically as it detects the fire within a distance of 5-10cms, using Thermocouple, and tries to extinguish it by moving in the direction with respect to the fire intensity. The temperature sensor provides a backup to the Thermocouple, if needed in vast circumstances.

Pulmonary alveolar proteinosis induced by hydrofluoric acid exposure during fire extinguisher testing
INTRODUCTION Automatic fire suppression systems use hydrofluorocarbons (HF) to extinguish fires chemically. At high temperatures, HF can release hydrofluoric acid (HFA), a toxic, potentially lethal gas. CASE REPORT A 52-year-old male visited our Pulmonary Division with dyspnea of 8-months duration. He had been working at a facility that manufactured fire extinguishers. Bronchoscopy was perfor...
متن کاملDetermination of Survivable Fires
At NASA, there exists no standardized design or testing protocol for spacecraft fire suppression systems (either handheld or total flooding designs). An extinguisher’s efficacy in safely suppressing any reasonable or conceivable fire is the primary benchmark. That concept, however, leads to the question of what a reasonable or conceivable fire is. While there exists the temptation to ‘over-size...

In this study, the application of Bayes networks and fault tree analysis in reliability estimation have been investigated. Fault tree analysis is one of the most widely used methods for estimating reliability. In recent years, a method called "Bayes Network" has been used, which is a dynamic method, and information about the probable failure of the system components will be updated according to...

Federal law and common sense both mandate adequate fire extinguishers in good order aboard all vessels. If you are unsure about the legal minimums for your class of vessel, consult the Coast Guard’s Federal Requirements for Commercial Fishing Industry Vessels. The extinguisher designations include a letter that indicates the type of fire it is designed to fight (for example, “B” for fuels and o...
متن کاملPeople’s Subjective Estimation of Fire Growth: An Experimental Study of Young Adults
An experiment was carried out to examine the subjective estimation of fire growth for young adults and their perceived ability to extinguish fires. In the experiment, participants filled out a questionnaire consisting of two parts. The first part involved prediction of fire growth, and the participants were asked to estimate the times between different stages of fires. The second part involved ...
